Whitestripes Origin
My pathway of yoga took me to India in 2005. Here I met an inspiring teacher, Sharath Rangaswamy, the grandson of Sri K Pattabhi Jois, who has lead the way for Ashtanga Yoga. Tradition has it that when showing your faith to the Deity Siva, that three white stripes of ash are smeared on the body, which Guruji used to do. As Siva is often proclaimed to be the Lord of Yoga the tie-in of the; ‘whitestripes’ began to mean something special to me.
My designer friends Nicky and Lee helped me come up with the
name and lovely logo, they have also designed this web site.
